Assigment #3 - Time Diary

To complete this assignment "Time Diary" I decided to use the social media "TikTok" and record the use. I give to the application on my mobile phone since Friday the 17th at 7:00 p.m. until today Wednesday 22 at 11 a.m. It should be noted that I chose TikTok because it is one of the platforms indicated in the assignment. Since personally, until before taking this course, I only used Facebook and WhatsApp. Therefore, the use of this platform is lower compared to the other two applications mentioned. previously.

Friday, 17, 2023:

I started using this platform at 7:00 p.m. meter. because it was part of this week's homework until 7:30 p.m. approximately. However, little by little I have been liking this application since I can find interesting videos and tutorials. Also, I use this app to find videos and I can upload them to my other apps like WhatsApp where I can put it on my status.

 

Saturday, 18, 2023:

Use the TikTok platform from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to watch music videos. Then I used it again at 2:00 PM. to see makeup tutorials. For the third time, I used it at 7 pm until 7:30 pm. Finally, the last time I used TikTok was after 11 p.m. at 11:30 pm. to watch music videos.

 

Sunday, 19, 2023:

I opened TikTok for the first time on Sunday at 11:00 AM. to watch music videos for about 15 minutes. Then, I used it again at 2:00 PM. The last time I opened TikTok was at 7:00 p.m. for about 15 minutes.

 

Monday, 20, 2023:

On Monday, since it is a weekday, I started using TikTok at 9:00 am for about 10 minutes. Then use it at 8:00 p.m. until 8:30 pm. to watch music videos, this being the last time on Monday.

 

Tuesday, 21, 2023:

I opened TikTok at 7:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to watch music videos and upload them to my WhatsApp status so they are visible to my contacts. Then I used it again at 10:00 PM. for about 15 minutes to share another video on my WhatsApp.

 

Wednesday, 22, 2023:

This being the last day I record in my diary. I started using TikTok at 9:00 am. for about 30 minutes to watch makeup tutorials and review how to make videos within this platform. Then I used it at 2:00 PM. for about 15 minutes on tutorials on how to create videos on TikTok.

 

During my use of TikTok these days I have noticed that the time patterns I use are 11 am, 2 pm, 7 pm and 11 pm. These times are the most repeated because it is the time when I have a little free time, or go to sleep. Among the less frequent times are 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., as I have used them during these times to try to maintain my daily TikTok usage. During my use of this application, the most frequent activity is to search for music videos to share on my WhatsApp or makeup tutorials. Since I am new used this platform, I do not used chat feature because I do not have any friends. Without a doubt I have started using this application for the course, but I have realized that little by little I am liking this application for the music videos that are shared in it.

   In mi life social media allow me to interact with my family who are in other parts of the world as well as friends, to share music, fashion, etc. On social media I can find news or inform myself about events that are happening. During the last two weeks in this class, I read about Microblogging and how social media can be used for research. Therefore, part of the readings are based on metrics and analysis with the use of Social Media.
